Job Summary
- Conduct thorough inspections repairs and maintenance of diesel engines and mechanical systems in buses.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to engines transmissions clutches and brake systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance vehicle reliability and reduce operational downtime.
- Overhaul and replace worn or damaged components including pistons bearings valves and gears.
- Utilize diagnostic toolsboth mechanical and computerizedto identify and resolve mechanical faults.
- Collaborate effectively with electricians and other technical staff to complete complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and promptly report significant mechanical failures.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic specializing in buses.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Experience with bus-specific maintenance repair and service protocols.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings schematics and service manuals.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines fuel injection systems and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in engine rebuilding component replacement and system diagnostics.
- Familiarity with air brake systems suspension systems and transmission repair.
