On behalf of a leading player in the Irish construction industry we are seeking to hire an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a key leadership role within a dynamic and growing organisation offering the opportunity to oversee financial operations strengthen reporting structures and provide strategic support to the executive team during a critical growth phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple projects and business units.
- Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts annual budgets forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Oversee project costing WIP reporting and margin analysis in collaboration with commercial and operations teams.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen financial controls and reporting efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial insight and support to senior management to inform decision-making and business planning.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Proven background in financial management within the construction engineering or contracting sectors (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience working on consolidated group accounts and project-based financial control.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder mgmt skills with ability to communicate clearly with operations commercial and QS teams.
- Organised deadline-driven and can maintain a structured working environment.
