Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems from design documents and specifications.
Support pre-construction and bid packaging activities including scope review vendor pricing and proposal preparation.
Review and interpret blueprints construction drawings and technical data to create accurate takeoffs.
Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to refine budgets and optimize designs for cost efficiency.
Manage estimating documentation and track historical data to support future bids and cost analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Construction Management or related field preferred.
5 years of estimating experience within mechanical HVAC or plumbing construction.
Strong knowledge of mechanical system installations and related construction practices.
Experience working with public sector or pharmaceutical facility projects preferred.
Proficiency in estimating software such as AutoBid; Revit experience a plus.
Excellent organizational communication and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of material labor and subcontractor cost structures.
