What are we looking for
The Engineer Team Leader - EMC position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Engineers and Technicians including assigning and overseeing work; training coaching and mentoring staff; managing employee issues; interviewing; hiring and firing recommendations; approving time and expense; conducting performance reviews; employee development and performance management; ensuring the customers needs are fulfilled; ensuring compliance with Interteks Quality Management System and all other policies and procedures. Responsible for the hiring training professional development and performance management of Team members.
Maintain daily situational awareness of project statuses and ensure Team members execute the Service Delivery Model.
Be the first escalation point for all client issues related to past and inflight projects.
Partner with and assist Sales in the preparation of quotes within 48 hours of receipt of RFQ.
Responsible for manpower requirements projections and utilization within assigned area.
Responsible for efficiency and productivity within assigned area.
Responsible for ensuring invoicing is submitted timely within assigned area; may assist with P&L for assigned area including forecasting managing costs etc.
Partner with Sales and the Project Management Team to resolve non-conformance issues
Maintain supervise and enforce all quality requirement equipment calibration safety rule and lab cleanliness standards.
Assist in the development of industry-related business objectives and initiatives.
Promote new business opportunities.
Assist Engineering Manager and Operations Manager with duties as needed.
Confer with engineering personnel to resolve issues related to specifications and test plans.
Oversees the performance of standardized tests analysis of test data and performance of routine calculations.
Communicate schedules and forecasts to management.
Works with management to achieve revenue targets for assigned Group.
Report team revenue targets workload and shift utilization to national leadership.
Perform testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S. Canadian and other international product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients.
Perform other work as required. Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors degree engineering.
4 years directly related experience.
Project management experience.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in both verbal and written formats.
Microsoft Office proficiency including Word Excel and Outlook.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
Must be client focused and quality driven.
Must be able to confront and resolve conflict in an effective manner.
Ability to influence others and bring teams together to achieve a common goal.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
