Job Summary

Our Lady of Mount Carmel seeks a dedicated and Middle School Softball Coach to lead and
develop our student-athletes in a manner consistent with Catholic values and the schools
mission. The coach will be responsible for teaching softball fundamentals fostering teamwork
and sportsmanship and promoting academic and personal growth in all players. This seasonal position requires full attendance at all practices games and postseason events.

Essential Functions:

Plan organize and conduct effective practices that focus on skill development
teamwork and understanding of the game.
Model and instill values such as respect integrity and self-discipline in all interactions.
Supervise student-athletes during practices games and team events to ensure safety
and appropriate conduct.
Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director school administration parents and
players regarding schedules expectations and player progress.
Ensure all players meet eligibility academic and behavioral requirements as set forth by
the school and league.
Manage equipment uniforms and facilities responsibly.
Attend coaches meetings training sessions and school events as required.
Promote a positive Christ-centered team environment that encourages prayer
reflection and good sportsmanship.

Position Qualifications:

â Prior coaching experience at the youth middle school or high school level is preferred.
â Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals rules and strategies.
â Ability to work collaboratively with students parents faculty and staff.
â Excellent communication and leadership skills.
â Completion of required background checks and diocesan safe environment training.

Range: This position is paid via stipend: $500.00 - $1500.00
