Chief Engineer
This position will be responsible for managing the engineering team setting technical direction and ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently safely and in alignment with company goals. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise.
- Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of all systems facilities and technical equipment.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC electrical plumbing mechanical and life safety systems.
- Ensure full compliance with health safety and environmental regulations as well as brand and local standards.
- Support in developing and managing departmental budgets cost control measures and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
- Plan and execute capital improvement and renovation projects.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and guest service calls.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent maintenance of facilities.
- Lead motivate and train team members to deliver exceptional service and technical performance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 35 years of progressive experience in hotel or resort engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role as Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Previous experience in a luxury or five-star property is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing fire safety and energy management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven project management and budgeting experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
