Job Summary

Salary will be negotiated based on education and experience per job of Duties:This is a supervisory level professional nursing position providing primary preventative and rehabilitative care to the inmate population in the Robeson County Detention Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Jail Health Director in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures. She/he will work independently providing management of nursing activities referrals and coordination of care in the jail setting. This nurse functions within the scope of practice according to the North Carolina Board of Nurses and supports the established standards of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. Works in hostile environment with detainees and inmates. Reports to the Jail Health and Experience:Associates Degree in nursing with 3 years of nursing and supervisory experience with administrative background or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills knowledge and Nursing license and CPR certification required upon North Carolina drivers license required upon hire and duration of employment. Out of state drivers license will be accepted only if the individual is a permanent resident of that take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test as well as submit to random reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
