Every airport regardless of its size depends on a unique set of facilities and infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their community stakeholders and partners. The CHA team excels in delivering specialized airside landside and facility-related planning and design. We bring a wealth of experience to our aviation clients so they can continue to be viable assets to the communities they serve.

Working alongside CHAs professional engineers the Civil Aviation Engineer supports the design development implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products or changes to an existing scheme to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role aids in preparing technical reports contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA our Civil Aviation Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client contractual and company requirements.

The Civil Aviation Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. This individual develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal state and local regulations as well as the firms and clients practices procedures and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience required
  • Civil aviation experience preferred
  • Construction administration services experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of engineering computational and modeling software (Revit AutoCAD MicroStation etc.)
  • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required

SALARY RANGE:

$75000 - $83000

Salary is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to qualifications experience education licenses specialty training and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
