This role sits within ABBs Robotics business a leading global robotics company. Were entering an exciting new chapter as weve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Global Sales Manager Digital & Software


The right candidate will develop an effective (business area/division/product group) sales strategy within the specified market scope (global/regional) and maintains it to improve ABBs market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Defines plans leads and ensures the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products systems and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth revenue profitability market share sales productivity and customer satisfaction. Monitors sales performance proactively ensuring the development and implementation of corrective actions to secure business growth when needed. Leads develops and coaches the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets through high performance.


Can be based in the US or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors the sales performance proactively ensuring the development and implementation of corrective actions to secure business growth when needed.

  • Creates executes and manages event plans in-region to ensure visibility and customer focus on S&D product portfolio.

  • Defines key digital sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor the performance.

  • Anticipates and identifies the shortfalls in regional performance and takes appropriate remedial actions proactively. Drives top line growth.

  • Identifies and evaluates new opportunities with existing and potential customers determines plans for implementation and allocates required resources.

  • Identifies and manages potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field and 12 years of related work/military experience required.

  • 5 years of experience in software sales.

  • Experience with portfolio management and business strategy.

  • Experience selling technical/B2B software i.e. EMS system software engineering or automation software is preferred.

  • Up to 75% travel may be expected.
