Job Title: Telecom Transmission Technician
Job Summary:
The Telecom Transmission Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and troubleshooting transmission systems and network equipment to ensure uninterrupted communication services and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install configure and maintain transmission equipment such as PDH/SDH MW radios OTN and fiber optic systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecom transmission links.
Conduct testing fault diagnosis and repair of transmission circuits and optical fiber connections.
Monitor network performance and ensure service quality standards are met.
Coordinate with NOC and field teams to resolve transmission issues promptly.
Prepare maintenance reports link performance data and documentation of all activities.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during field and site operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electronics Telecommunications or related field.
Minimum 35 years of experience in telecom transmission systems.
Hands-on experience with SDH/PDH MW and fiber optic transmission equipment.
Strong troubleshooting analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams.
