Job Summary
The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School a demanding college preparatory charter school is seeking to hire committed skilled and inspiring educators. AMSA is committed to preparing all students to succeed in college and beyond. Located in Marlborough MA AMSA includes 6th through 12th grade classes. The Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Para Professional for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Teachers and Staff Members at the Advanced Math and Science Academy will:Focus intensely on increasing achievement content knowledge and character growth for all inspiring challenging and effective teaching and learning experiences for all of our committed to serving all students including English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities in the context of the regular education classroom using a variety of inclusion to a strong and supportive professional learning Responsibilities:-The Para professional will work closely with the Special Education Liaison in implementing the students IEP within the inclusion setting.-The Para professional will collect and sum data related to the students IEP goals and objectives. -The Para professional will participate in weekly supervision sessions with the Special Education Liaison.-The Para professional will be an active and participating member of the Special Education Department.-Professional experience with implementing positive behavior plans and behavior implementation plans are a preferred skill set.-The ability to reteach academics at the students ability level is also a preferred skill qualities:-The ability to be flexible and meet the needs of all students.-The ability to work as a Team with the ultimate focus on student progress and independence.-The ability to accept feedback in a professional manner and apply it to the work.-The ability to bring a positive mindset to work every day and the belief that we do whatever it takes to support students and show how much we believe in : Please be aware that some of the elements contained in this job description are subject to bargaining obligations established by Federal and State law for the AMSA Charter School and are subject to change.
