Mazama High School is seeking a high-energy and knowledgeable individual to lead its Head Volleyball program. The ideal candidate will have experience as a successful volleyball coach and a passion for developing student-athletes. The Head Coach will be respsonsible for:

Instructing players in the rules regulations equipment and techniques of the sport of volleyball.
Overseeing guiding and directing entire Mazama Volleyball program
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
Assesses players skills monitors players during competition and practice.
Determines game strategy.
Supervises athletes during practices and competition.
Follows established procedures in the event of an athletes injury.
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players officials
and spectators.
Maintains the equipment and facilities and assumes responsibility for its
security.
Distributes equipment supplies and uniforms to students.
Participates in special activities to include parents night banquets award nights and pep
assemblies.
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms emergency data cards and other related records.
Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Reports directly to the athletic director and school principal.
Develops lines of communication and support between youth programs.
Thorough understanding and application of district league and state policies and procedures pertaining to athletics.
May be required to obtain a type 20 activity bus certification.
