- A minimum of 4 years of tax experience (preferably payroll tax/immigration services) in a professional services firm
- The possession of ICAN/ACCA certification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of a Second Class (Upper) degree from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 5 O level credits including English Language and Mathematics at one sitting.
COMPETENCIES
- Sound understanding of the provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act
- Previous experience in preparing monthly payroll and processing client employee data
- Sound knowledge of computation of payroll taxes and other social security contributions
- Ability to coordinate the remittance of employee tax and other social security remittances
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders develop strong relationships with client personnel and relevant regulatory agencies
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Prior experience in resolving disputes arising from tax audits/investigations
- Sound understanding of immigration compliance requirements.
- Competency in tax structuring and computations (including deferred tax) and tax due diligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages - Excel PowerPoint Word etc.
- A sound knowledge of WHT VAT PPT and other tax-related computations
- Maintain excellent oral written and presentation skills.
- Excellent track record in project management
- Ability to work independently but also work well with others.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders across all levels in the Firm.
