PRIMARY FUNCTIONProvide strategic leadership and oversight of all fiscal operations for Ki Charter. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) ensures compliance with federal state and local laws as well as Ki Charters board-approved fiscal policies. The CFO manages budgeting financial reporting grants management and audits to ensure the schools financial stability and transparency while supporting the organizations mission and AND RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Oversight Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with the Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Oversee all accounting purchasing and payroll functions for accuracy and compliance Ensure timely preparation and submission of all financial reports required by TEA auditors and the Board of Directors Maintain systems of internal control to safeguard assets and ensure fiscal integrityCompliance and Reporting Ensure all fiscal operations comply with TEA SBOE and GASB requirements Coordinate and manage annual independent financial audits and monitor corrective actions as needed Oversee federal state and local grant accounting to ensure adherence to program guidelines and documentation requirementsConsultation and Collaboration Advise the Superintendent COO and Board of Directors on fiscal matters financial risks and opportunities Collaborate with department heads and campus leaders to develop sound fiscal practices and budgetary discipline Support policy development related to finance purchasing and complianceProgram Management Manage cash flow projections investments and long-term financial planning Oversee financial aspects of expansion projects contracts and facility agreements Maintain accurate and transparent records to support decision-making and accountability Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
