The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join the opening team at The St. Regis London. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our guestrooms public spaces and back of house areas. You will support daily operations lead inspections and ensure our associates deliver impeccable service that reflects the elegance of the St. Regis brand.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Daily Housekeeping Operations
- Coordinate room status updates with the Front Desk for seamless guest transitions.
- Collaborate with Engineering to address maintenance needs promptly.
- Supervise general cleaning schedules and assign tasks based on occupancy and departures.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Support ordering of cleaning products guestroom amenities and uniforms.
- Lead inspections of guestrooms and public areas ensuring standards are met and corrective actions taken.
- Ensure all team members are equipped with proper tools and attire.
Manage Departmental Costs
- Assist in managing controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
- Understand the financial impact of housekeeping operations and contribute to cost-effective practices.
- Review operating statements and payroll reports to support departmental financial planning.
Deliver Exceptional Guest Service
- Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Empower team members to deliver personalized and elevated service.
- Reinforce guest satisfaction as a core focus in team meetings and daily briefings.
Support Human Resources Activities
- Participate in investigations and ensure fair administration of policies.
- Monitor staffing levels to meet service and financial objectives.
- Provide clear expectations and feedback to team members.
- Use training tools to onboard and develop new room attendants.
- Contribute to performance reviews and support career development.
- Assist in recruitment and ensure new hires receive thorough orientation.
- Participate in progressive discipline procedures with consistency and care.
What Were Looking For
You should have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in housekeeping managerial position within luxury 5* hotels
- A passion for luxury service and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership
- Commitment to maintaining the highest cleanliness and presentation standards
