Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our Tax Operations tower -Global finance Services Division.

The incumbent would coordinate the preparation of Financial Data used for Country-by-Country Reporting Pillar 2 reporting and other tax-related reporting.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore KA-India

What you will do

  • Help monitoring requirements by country research and analyze new regulations.
  • Scope entities falling under the requirements.
  • Work closely with internal partners to ensure appropriate financial data is retrieved and collected in line with the requirements.
  • Coordinate the financial data aggregation and make it available in the appropriate reporting format for the different Tax groups.
  • Reconcile the aggregated data back to the 10-K Consolidated Results.
  • Report-out the data to Stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the publication of the data on the Tax Authorities platforms and on the Cat Website
  • Lead or support projects related to process improvements implementation of controls or global tax initiatives.

What you will have

  • Qualified CA/CMA or equivalent.
  • Preferred Industry experience.
  • Minimum 4-6 years post qualification experience. Big4 experience preferred
  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office

Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.

Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.

Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.

Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.

Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

Financial and Accounting Systems: Knowledge of functions features and capabilities of financial and accounting systems; ability to use financial and accounting applications specific to the organization.

Level Working Knowledge:

Knowledge in SAP/Mach1/OneStream preferred.

Excellent in Excel/Power BI/PowerPoint.

Utilizes operating requirements for the financial environment.

Coordinates major system interfaces and criticalities.

Tax Management: Knowledge of tax requirements organizational tax practices obligations; ability to manage organization tax related issues.

Level Working Knowledge:

Collects and prepares documentation for tax reporting.

Works with applying tax law to a specific industry or line of business.

Monitors CbCR/Pillar 2 requirements

Follows tax accounting practices.

Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax practices and regulations; ability to prepare and publish CbCR documents.

Level Working Knowledge:

Documents practices standards and procedures for maintaining and reporting CbCR information.

Interprets and explains key CbCR related documents and reports.

Utilizes basic tools to identify and gather the information necessary for preparing CbCR.

Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

Level Working Knowledge:

Ables to reconcile large volume of data back to Consolidated Financial Statements

Reports on validity relevance and accuracy issues.

Implements basic research analysis methods and techniques.

Uses published information to support new research.

Adheres to an organizations research analysis standards.
