Job Title: MRI Technologist Part-Time Contract
Location: New York NY 10029
Hours: 15 per week 7.5 hours per shift
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 12:00 AM 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: Around $72.00 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist for a part-time weekend assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in New York. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures ensuring patient safety comfort and accuracy in all diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures following established protocols and best practices.
Accurately position patients and coils to obtain optimal image quality.
Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
Review and confirm MRI safety questionnaires before scanning.
Upload and label images in PACS per departmental standards.
Assess image quality for accuracy and completeness.
Record all procedures accurately in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI rooms and equipment.
Monitor and replenish imaging supplies as needed.
Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues promptly.
Support physicians during imaging procedures when required.
Adhere to MRI safety infection control and quality assurance standards.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy MR physics and imaging science.
Excellent technical and patient care skills.
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
Experience with MRI scanner platforms such as GE Siemens or Philips.
Education & Certification Requirements
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
ARRT Certification in MRI.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification.
