The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Assistant supports the Volunteer Coordinator in recruiting training schedule and retaining hospice volunteers. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that volunteers are well-prepared and supported to provide companionship respite and assistance to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in recruiting onboarding and training new hospice volunteers
maintain volunteer records schedules and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
help coordinate volunteer assignments based on patient and family needs
provide ongoing communication and support to volunteers
assist in planning volunteer appreciation and recognition events
support community outreach and engagement to promote volunteer opportunities
perform administrative tasks such as data entry and report preparation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent college preferred but not required
previous administrative volunteer management or hospice experience a plus
excellent communication organization and interpersonal skills
compassionate and respectful approach to working with patients families and volunteers
Requires:
Drivers license is acceptable abstract
vehicle insurance
acceptable background check
flexible schedule
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
