Job Summary
Business Unit: Group Finance
Salary range: 56800 - 71000 per annum
Location:UK Hybrid - Glasgow Gosforth or London
Contract type: Permanent
- Analysing financial results adding insight through identification and communication of key issues in business performance drawing on standard and ad hoc analysis. Preparation of analysis and reporting to support the Senior Business Partner in presenting to key Finance and Commercial stakeholders.
- Using insight and acumen to positively influence forward looking planning and forecasting processes including strategic business plans and outlooks as well as regulatory stress testing.
- Being responsible for financial modelling to inform decision making including commercial pricing assessments business case appraisal and supporting the reporting of returns metrics.
- Partnering the business to identify alternative actions to address business under-performance/ stretch performance providing recommendations based upon financial and commercial insight.
- Ensuring that controls within the Business Bank Finance Business Partnering team remain effective and consistent while seeking to improve and innovate existing processes to drive an efficient and flexible function that can react quickly to changing circumstances.
- Establishing and developing a network of internal stakeholders across the Business Banking team and other areas of Finance including Financial Control Financial Planning & Analysis Treasury and Risk demonstrating healthy challenge and collaboration.
- Mentoring and developing Finance Business Partnering team members supporting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Experience in building strong working relationships with a wide-ranging level of stakeholders across a number of disciplines with proficient knowledge of Business Banking.
- Excellent analytical skills to support decision making. Key analysis and supporting narrative to inform and influence is essential.
- Financial modelling skills (excel based) and ability to critically appraise outputs.
- Knowledgeable in financial factors and external market trends that may impact Business Bank performance (both risks and opportunities).
- A natural curiosity and drive to know more. Also be hardworking with a real eye for detail.
- A strong control mindset when developing processes and procedures.
