About the role:

As a result of growth we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and talented Associate with 3 to 7 years of post-admission experience to join our high performing collaborative and innovative Workplace Law & Culture team.

The role is based in our Sydney CBD office however at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.

The Team:

Our Workplace Law & Culture team services a broad mix of employer clients including large private sector companies operating across diverse industries as well as State and Commonwealth government departments.

You will work alongside leading Employment lawyers specialising in employment workplace relations discrimination and work safety law who enjoy helping workplaces people and business prosper. The work is complex and varied encompassing a mix of advisory and litigated matters.

As a senior member of the team you will have ample client contact be given the opportunity to work autonomously and play a key role in mentoring more junior lawyers in the team.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-7 years PAE ideally having worked solidly in employment and industrial law within private practice
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow in line with business and client requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for workplace law and excellent client service skills
  • Good technical skills and sound knowledge in employment and industrial law
  • Self motivation and interest in delivering client solutions
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
