The College is currently seeking applications for a part-time (0.6 FTE) Payroll Officer. The Payroll Officer is a key member of the Payroll Team responsible for administering and maintaining the Colleges payroll operations. This includes processing payroll maintaining accurate employee payroll records and managing superannuation obligations. The Payroll Officer works collaboratively with the People & Engagement team on HR processes and systems and with the Business Office on financial policies and systems. The role also provides support to the Chief People Officer and the Chief Operating Officer as required.

- Ability to understand and interpret industrial instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated strong written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Capacity to operate with discretion respect trust and discernment whilst also maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and follow processes and procedures.
- A current Working with Children Check (or be prepared to obtain one prior to commencement) and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and well-being of children and young people.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with payroll systems Chris21 or iChris highly desirable.
- 3-5 years experience in similar role.
- Experience with administration and processing of medium sized payroll ideally in a school environment.
- Graduate and/or Post Graduate Qualifications in relevant field highly desirable.
