Location: Terrell TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. including a 30-minute unpaid lunch
The Recruiting & Onboarding Assistant supports the Human Resources team by coordinating all aspects of the recruitment and onboarding process. This role serves as a professional point of contact for candidates managers and leadership from application through new hire orientation ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit
Communicate with candidates regarding application status next steps and company information
Coordinate interviews and communicate with hiring managers about potential candidates
Prepare and send offer letters and other pre-employment documentation
Submit helpdesk tickets to set up new hires in company systems
Order and manage pre-employment testing and ensure creation of personnel files
Prepare for and conduct new hire orientation
Serve as a point of contact for new hire onboarding questions
Track and document all recruiting and onboarding activities
Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and company policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in recruiting customer service or administrative support with frequent professional interaction required
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Professional and courteous communication with candidates and internal stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook Teams)
Understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices is a plus
Physical Requirements
This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing repetitive hand and arm movements such as typing data entry and other clerical tasks.
