We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our valued Pastoral Team for a maternity cover. This role involves providing vital support within our internal inclusion room known as the Ratton Ready Room aimed at assisting disaffected and vulnerable students. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for these students.
Responsibilities: As a member of our Pastoral Team you will take on the responsibility of managing our Ratton Ready room focusing on providing support to students facing various challenges. Your role will include implementing strategies to create a supportive atmosphere assisting in the overall wellbeing of the students.
Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for an individual with experience in working with young people and while prior behaviour management experience is desirable it is not mandatory. An interest in working with students displaying a range of behavioural needs is important. The successful candidate should bring a caring flexible and common-sense approach to their work.
Expectations: The role requires someone with high expectations for all students aiming to help them achieve their best despite the challenges they may be facing. Your commitment to the welfare and progress of children and young people is crucial as is your ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
Personal Attributes: A tactful discreet and diplomatic approach is necessary for effective communication with parents/carers students and colleagues. The ability to work collaboratively within the team is key and a self-motivated individual with a personal drive to complete tasks to required timescales and quality standards will thrive in this role.
