How youll contribute:

A Phlebotomist who excels in this role:

  • Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.

  • Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques

  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies

  • Labels processes and delivers specimens for testing

  • Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives including interviewing and screening donors

  • Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional requirements include:

  • Completion of an approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy preferred

  • Certification from ASCP or NHA preferred

  • Formal Phlebotomy training

  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training/Handle with Care within 30 days
