The Cathedral School isseeking two permanent part-time Curriculum Coordinators to commence in January 2026. The positions are:
The Junior School Curriculum Coordinators will be responsible for promoting the schools commitment to encouraging leadership and innovation in all areas of school practice. The roles will play a critical role in shaping high quality teaching and learning experiences for students from Prep to Year 6. These positions are responsible for leading curriculum design and implementation supporting staff development enhancing student outcomes and fostering meaningful partnerships with families. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
Operating within a leader-as-practitioner model the roles balance strategic oversight with active classroom engagement strengthening professional credibility and enabling the modelling of best practice for colleagues.
The key accountabilities for the position are as follows:
Curriculum Leadership - Lead the design implementation and continuous improvement of curriculum and assessment practices for Prep to Year 2 or Year 3 to Year 6 ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA standards.
Staff Mentoring and Support -Provide coaching and professional development to teaching staff fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Student Learning and Intervention: Drive inclusive data-informed teaching practices and coordinate targeted interventions to support diverse student learning needs.
Community Engagement - Build strong partnerships with families through effective communication and support for student transitions and wellbeing.
Administration and Compliance - Oversee curriculum documentation assessment schedules and ensure compliance with regulatory and school policies contributing to broader school improvement initiatives.
