The Multidisciplinary Integrated Systems Department (MISD) supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering leadership to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems Sensors and Effectors. We lead all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support Raytheons Land and Air Defense Systems business area from our Huntsville AL location. Our Systems Engineers solve technical challenges at the System of System (SoS) System Subsystem and Component levels.

Key technical domains include: Architecture Requirements Interface Definition Modeling & Simulation Radar Systems Effector Systems Battle Management Command and Control Communications Network Design and Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.

This position is an onsite role

This position can be a Junior Senior or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidates qualifications and standing as outlined below:

• (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
• (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
• (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

What You Will Do:

• You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving in the field of modeling and simulation to analyze work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems related to space-based systems and satellites.
• You will support contribute and collaborate in a team environment receiving inputs from the program or team experts and work on projects determining and developing approaches and solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuinga BS (or higher) degree inScience Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their Junior Senior or Post Graduatestanding level by the start of Summer 2026.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Specific majors: Aerospace Engineering Astronautical Engineering Systems Engineering Mathematics Physics or related STEM discipline
• Knowledge of data analysis modeling and simulation statistics and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems.
• Knowledge of STK MATLAB or Python
• Quick learner and motivated

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
