Job Summary
Balanced Body is an energetic environmentally sensitive company that is growing! Balanced Body leads the world in providing Pilates equipment and education.
We are currently hiring a qualified and reliable facility maintenance technician to assist with the maintenance of our building. The role will support our Maintenance Team on repairs and upkeep of our operations facility. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of maintaining machinery repairs basic plumbing and electrical.
The knowledge skills and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Experience performing routine maintenance on doors minor electrical plumbing etc.
- Experience working with a maintenance budget.
- Ability to maintain machinery to ensure optimum performance;
- Experience with standard woodshop equipment is important.
- Ability to conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve issues;
- Partnering with production departments to adhere to the safety policies and procedures on equipment;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are needed to meet the essential job functions successfully:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial maintenance
- Strong understanding of plumbing carpentry and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Good basic computer skills expereince with MS Excel is preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Able to adapt to changing needs and priorities
- Able to sit stand reach and carry as needed for a full shift (8 hours)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Must be self-motivated and have a positive solution-seeking attitude
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to commit to a consistent work schedule with good attendance
- Valid Drivers License
- Other duties as assigned.
