Carpenter
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Job Goal: To work with fellow employees to effectively and economically accomplish job tasks assigned by the department.
Missions and Goals
- Works with the Superintendent and those who he/she supervises to articulate and promote the school systems vision of learning and teaching
- Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of system goals and objectives
- Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the systems strategic plan
- Organizes daily monthly and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools
General Responsibilities
- Conducts maintenance repairs on all equipment as directed by his/her foreman and the Director of Maintenance.
- Makes repairs on roofs of school districts buildings.
- Assists supervisor in making regular checks on thermostats in implementing the districts energy conservation program.
- Makes periodic inspections and repairs of individual building hardware.
- Implements in a timely and efficient fashion all work orders assigned to him by the maintenance office.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent the Deputy Superintendent the Director of Maintenance and/or the Superintendents designee.
Terms of Employment: Ten eleven or twelve months. Salary and work year will be established by the Board.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on
Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
