St. Elizabeth Hospital located in Fort Morgan Coloradois a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology maternal emergency surgical pediatrics and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds St. Elizabeth is the regions referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. Since 1952 St. Elizabeth has been serving the community in Morgan County which is one of the most diverse counties in Colorado speaking more than 28 languages.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Join our team as a Speech Language the Speech Language Pathologist role you will:

  • Act responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological swallowing speech-language cognitive pragmatic voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Two years of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferred
  • Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
  • Masters degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

We need an acute care SLP who has experience with modified varium swallows. This is a PRN role that can cover our inpatient acute care needs between 8:00am and 5:00pm (up to 7 days a week as needed). We arent able to precept for this role. This role does offer a PRN differential premium for all hours worked. We are able to offer consistent part time hours for this role.
