  • Primarily Monday to Friday

  • Day: 06:00 hours 14:00 hours
  • Evening: 14:00 hours 22:00 hours
Total Hours
  • 110220 hours depending on clinical group size

Position Summary

Clinical Supervisor will collaborate with the program instructor to support PSW students transitioning from classroom theory to practical application in long-term care settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mid-term and final evaluations
  • Assisting students with skills passbook completion
  • Supporting clinical placement assignments
  • Acting as a liaison between staff and students to foster a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborating with employers to secure preceptors who enhance the student learning experience

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in one or more of the following:
  • Long-Term Care
  • Hospital
  • Community Agency
  • Gerontology
  • Experience in supervising evaluating and assessing Personal Support Workers (PSWs)
  • Experience supporting clinical placements for PSWs PNs or RNs
  • Knowledge of PSW training standards including those set by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
