Job Summary
ABOUT US:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Rates are determined based on experience and tenure. The pay range for Journeyperson is $53.89 to $59.17 per hour(depending on years of experience and supplemental rates/premiums). Dual ticket premiums will also apply.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES(Weighting 60%)
System Design Installation and Maintenance
- Design and installation of welded threaded and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.
- Conduct start-ups inspections troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for refrigeration/HVAC systems resolving system issues as needed.
- Interpret blueprints schematic drawings and manufacturer instructions to independently construct assemble and install equipment.
Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot refrigeration/HVAC electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program.
- Take on additional duties as required to support job functions.
SERVICE EXCELLENCE (Weighting 40%)

- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism competence and integrity.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs

- Prioritize workplace safety by adhering to all safety protocols and fostering a secure environment for colleagues and clients.
- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics.
- Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications)
- Class A Gas Fitting is an asset
- Electrician/Sheetmetal is also an asset
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training.
- Class 5 Drivers License with a clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to work independently and on-call.
Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
