Job Summary

Example of Duties:Under general supervision performs skilled work at the Countys involves the operation of various pieces of heavy equipment including but not limited to: excavator articulated dump trucks bulldozer rubber tire loader backhoe landfill compactor and motor grader to spread pack and cover refuse and performs minor preventive maintenance on to the Landfill Crew and Experience:High School diploma; 2 years training and experience in the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and North Carolina drivers license required upon hire and duration of employment. Out of state drivers license will be accepted only if the individual is a permanent resident of that take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test Motor Vehicle Records driver license check as well as submit to random reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
