As Director supporting Cloud Engineering and Operation you will be designing implementing and managing scalable secure and resilient cloud infrastructure across the enterprise. This role will be based inFort Worth TX and you will be primarily responsible in ensuring operational excellence cost optimization and alignment with business continuity and transformation goals. The ideal candidate will drive automation enforce governance and lead cross-functional collaboration to support digital enterprise initiatives.
In this role a typical day will include:
Cloud Engineering
Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS Azure or GCP.
Design modular scalable infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Evaluate and implement new cloud technologies to support innovation and agility.
Cloud Operations
Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure health performance and availability.
Implement automation for provisioning scaling and disaster recovery.
Lead incident response and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues.
Ensure compliance with security policies regulatory requirements and operational SLAs.
Governance & Optimization
Create and manage the FinOps organization.
Develop and enforce cloud governance frameworks including tagging cost controls and access management.
Conduct regular audits and performance assessments to optimize cloud spend and resource utilization.
Maintain documentation of cloud architecture operational procedures and best practices.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 18 yrs; Assoc.14 yrs; M.S.7 yrs; PhD6 yrs)
The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience
6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Preferred Skills:
Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives in large enterprises.
Familiarity with business continuity planning and service model design.
Experience in creating the business study for Data Centre migration to cloud and creating the plans for migration.
Leading the architects in creating procurement pipelines deployment pipelines to public cloud infrastructure.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change in a matrixed environment.
