Manulife Bank & Trusts Mortgage Underwriting department is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join the team!
Position Responsibilities:
Manage the underwriting of residential mortgage applications. Exercise sound financial judgment in granting loans within delegated limits.
Review documents submitted by sales partners to identify and decision whether documents adhere to internal guidelines.
Ability to process a high volume of work files with attention to detail.
Manage your files with appropriate communication while working closely with the salesperson associated with the file.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in residential mortgage underwriting specifically with files of higher complexity
Strong customer service and decisioning skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and handle several tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of banking systems.
Identify and solve issues requiring a high degree of judgment and recommend solutions.
Overtime during peak season is a requirement.
Candidates must live within the region they support to maintain a strong understanding of local real estate market trends and cultural nuances.

Salary range is expected to be between
$50700.00 CAD - $84500.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location.
