ABOUT THE OUTLETS AT SAN CLEMENTE

Shop 60 big brands at The Outlets at San Clemente in a stunning Spanish-style village overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. Orange Countys first and only coastal outlet shopping experience conveniently situated between Los Angeles and San Diego.

The Outlets at San Clemente is seeking a Maintenance Tech who will manage repairs of mall common areas including tile floors walls and drywall ceilings roofs door hardware restrooms and other common areas of our retail shopping center. Knowledge of electrical repairs and lighting systems preferred. Other duties include simple plumbing repairs routine carpentry work painting installation and breakdown of holiday decor and several special events throughout the year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the Center including all common areas some tenant spaces VIP areas as well as storage areas and vacant spaces.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including but not limited to carpentry plumbing electrical work and building lighting systems painting and HVAC.
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
• Respond to tenant calls and team member work orders in a timely friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair as needed.
• Assist in setups and takedowns for any marketing requests or special projects.
• Completing maintenance request work orders from all departments in a timely basis.
• Performing preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
• Ensuring that equipment is working properly.
• Organize and maintain a clean shared workspace.
• Communicate inventory needs and quantities to management for future supply orders.
• Perform lighting checks every two weeks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.)
• 3 years of general maintenance experience required

OTHER SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Ability to know what needs to be done with the initiative and drive to do so with little to no supervision.
• Ability to operate Forklift Scissor-lift and Boom Lift.
• Must be able to lift push and pull items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• Ability to communicate with guests tenants and ownership in a courteous calm and professional manner.
• Ability to be flexible and work overtime as needed and be on an on-call basis.
