Job Summary

JOB SUMMARYThe Manager of Food Service coordinates the breakfast and lunch programs to include all aspects of the logistical arrangements and reporting requirements that may be necessary to ensure the students are served meals in line with NSLP and DESE Meal Pattern Compliance. Understanding the Standardized Recipe form and USDA food restrictions and requirements. This is mostly administrative and accounts receivable RESPONSIBILITIESProvides an active day-to-day supervision of both the Food Service Cook and the Food Service Associate. Daily roster pull and POS transactionsCoordinates both breakfast and lunch programs. Adjusts schedules as necessary on days when regular routines are not maintained ie field trips half Meal Pattern Compliance Requirements according to DESE standardsConducts quarterly audits between PowerSchool and hard copy applications to ensure they reflect the correct a daily basis completes the FP-9. Delivers it along with accompanying reports to the Director of Finance within 8 days of the end of the monthly budget details to ensure staying within the budget line with parents/guardians of students with regard to school breakfast and lunch programs such as Friday Flash flyers ect. Prepares letters emails etc. for collection of payments. Follows up outstanding balances with a more aggressive type of collection method i.e. telephone calls certified letters payments daily from students and faculty. Enter all payments into Power Lunch within the next business the bank deposit slip and transfers all cash and checks to the Business Assistant. Makes copies of all checks and deposit slips to be kept for Sizers record of accurate funds. Ensuring all money is locked and secure if Revenue to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. Provide the Director of Finance with the reconciled the Director of Finance with a weekly report of what students are more than $50.00 on their balances along with action already a monthly menu ensuring Meal Pattern Compliance is upheld according to DESE standardsEnter all transactions into Power Lunch on a daily basis in accordance with DESE POS requirements. Coordinate NSLP deliveries with various reputable vendors maintaining food/beverage kitchen equipment flush sinks check and if needed address pest volunteers who assist with the lunch Production Records in accordance with DESE School a weekly basis complete the Food Safety and order inventory of supplies and represent the Food Services Staff on the Wellness incoming food and drink temperatures as items are and ensures all direct staff have the necessary Professional Development and maintains changes to enhance and improve food services.
