Job Summary

This position has the responsibility to assist the Maintenance Department in routine maintenance and functionality of the Anderson Campus.

Essential Functions:

Open and secure buildings as required.
Professionally assist students and staff alike.
Oversee daily operation of the Anderson Campus in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
Daily sorting/routing/deliveries of common carriers.
Coordination/management of general institutional expendable supplies.
Building Construction-New installations remodeling and preventive maintenance of ceilings walls and floors.
Electrical-Assist advanced Maintenance Mechanics in installation of new electrical outlets and cabling.
Plumbing-Assist advanced Maintenance Mechanics in plumbing installation.
Equipment-Assist advanced Maintenance Mechanics in preventive maintenance/repair of motorized and specialized equipment.
Grounds-weed control landscaping trimming clean parking lots driveways and sidewalks.
Provide leadership and supervision to part-time and temporary employees..
Assist the Maintenance Manager as needed.

Minimum job requirements (education experience and skills) required to perform essential functions:

High school diploma or GED proven experience in the building trades preferred.
Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
Punctual well groomed dependable and able to get along well with others.
Strong organizational abilities basic math/bookkeeping skills
General computer literacy (or be willing to receive immediate training)

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experiences in the building trades preferred.
