Overview

This position is responsible for supervision of the Operations Initial or Requalification Training Program instructors and will report to the Operations/Simulator Training Manager at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. The supervisor will provide technical and administrative guidance for their training staff to improve Operator performance through training.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Oversight of Operations training programs following the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) principles

Oversight of simulator operations testing and maintenance

Oversight and development of Initial License and Requalification Regulatory Examinations

Institute of Nuclear Power Operations evaluations and assist visits

Regular communications with Regional representatives from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Nuclear Regulatory Commission evaluations and inspections

Emergency Response Organization support

Outage support

Budget management support

Education Experience & Skill Requirements

5 years of Commercial Nuclear Power experience

Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator NRC license or certification

Affective written and verbal communication skills

Prior Supervisory Experience preferred

Prior Regulatory Exam Author Experience preferred

Key Metrics

Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department

Maintain effective working relationships within the team/department

Successful completion of required station Regulatory Exams
