Job Duties

Virginias Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking for a service-oriented professional to work as a Customer Service Technician at the Portsmouth Customer Service Center. If you possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and want a career with growth opportunities we would like to talk with you.

The selected applicants will handle various customer transactions to include communicating policies procedures and regulations; issuing IDs; processing applications; administering vision driver and in-car road addition processing vehicle registrations and titling tax collection and other DMV related services.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Requirements:
-Customer service experience working in a fast paced environment.
-Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Flexibility to work M-F and Saturday.
-Strong organizational time management problem solving and multitasking skills.
-Must have attention to detail accuracy and complete assignments on time.
-Experience working in a team or group environment.
-Can lift 10 25 pounds.
