Our client a highly regarded London law firm is seeking an experienced Contentious Trust & Probate Solicitor to join their award-winning Private Client department. This is a rare opportunity to focus exclusively on contentious work within a supportive collaborative team of 18 specialists who have achieved recognition in both Chambers HNW and Legal 500 alongside Best Companies accreditation.

About the Role
Youll work directly alongside the Head of the Contentious Team handling a varied caseload of complex trust and probate disputes. This is a genuine opportunity to specialise purely in contentious matters rather than splitting your time between contentious and non-contentious work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing your own caseload of contentious trust and probate matters from inception to conclusion
- Handling high-value disputes including will challenges inheritance claims and trust litigation
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Contentious Team on complex high-profile cases
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families
- Representing clients in negotiations mediations and court proceedings
- Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the contentious practice
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitorwith5 years PQEin contentious trust and probate work
- Proven track record handling contentious probate disputes and trust litigation
- Strong technical knowledge of inheritance law trust law and probate disputes
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to manage sensitive client matters
- Personable friendly approach with the ability to build productive client relationships
- Genuine enthusiasm for developing a career specialising in contentious probate work
- UK-based legal experienceis essential
Desirable Qualifications:
- STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or working towards
- ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) membership
- Experience with high-net-worth and complex estate matters
