Job Summary

Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) School-Based
Location: Goleta CA 93117
Schedule: MondayFriday Day Shift (7:30 AM 3:30 PM)
Hours: 37.5 billable hours per week
Orientation: All hours are billable
Block Schedule: Not guaranteed

Role Overview:The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will support student participation and functional performance in educational settings. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct therapy services assist with evaluations document progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
Assist in implementing treatment strategies developed by the supervising OT
Support students in developing fine motor visual-motor sensory processing and self-care skills
Maintain accurate session notes and documentation per school and compliance standards
Collaborate with teachers parents and educational staff to support carryover of strategies
Travel between assigned campuses if required

Requirements:

Active California COTA license (must be in hand at submission)
Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively with students staff and families
Strong communication organization and documentation skills
