About the role
Calvary Adelaide Hospital is the largest private hospital in South Australia specialising in both acute care and rehabilitation services. We provide a high quality service within a large interdisciplinary Allied Health team to a range of specialties including critical care orthopaedic cardiorespiratory general medical general surgical neurosurgery spinal surgery neurology and rehabilitation.
We have exciting opportunities for Speech Pathology clinicians to join our growing allied health team with the following positions available:
- 0.4 FTE (AHP1 or 2) 6-12 month fixed-term contract
- Casual (weekday and Saturday shifts available)
Your main duties will include:
- Managing a diverse caseload across acute and rehabilitation wards using evidence based guidelines to deliver patient-centred care in accordance with professional and ethical standards
- Independently providing assessment diagnosis and management of patients with swallowing and communication disorders
- Actively participating in an effective multidisciplinary team and
- Contributing to service development and quality activities.
About you
- Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology which enables membership to Speech Pathology Australia
- A commitment to high professional standards and ongoing and demonstrated involvement in professional development
- Competency in the assessment and management of dysphagia and acquired communication disorders within acute and/or rehabilitation settings
- Flexibility enthusiasm and a commitment to provide patient-focused care and
- A desire to join a team dedicated to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
