How You Will Make an Impact
As the Program Manager Prevention and Housing Partnerships you will lead initiatives that prevent homelessness and strengthen housing partnerships through early intervention eviction prevention and collaboration with landlords and community agencies.
- Design and implement prevention strategies for individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
- Build and maintain partnerships with landlords housing providers legal supports and financial assistance programs.
- Coordinate eviction prevention services including mediation and emergency supports.
- Lead community engagement efforts to promote housing stability and tenant rights.
- Supervise and support staff delivering prevention-focused case management and outreach.
- Monitor program effectiveness and report on outcomes and service gaps.
- Represent Good Shepherd Centres in housing networks coalitions and advocacy forums.
- Support system-level change initiatives related to housing and homelessness prevention.
- Lead staff training on housing-related issues best practices and effective client support strategies.
- Plan and host community events and landlord appreciation sessions to foster collaboration.
- Oversee program data collection evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure compliance with Good Shepherds policies Health & Safety standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
What Youll Bring to Our Team
- Post-secondary degree in Social Services Social Work Human Services or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in housing-focused or homelessness prevention services.
- Strong understanding of Housing First harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in public speaking partnership development and community collaboration.
- Valid Ontario G-class drivers license and willingness to drive agency vehicles.
- CPR/First Aid and WHMIS certification.
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist anti-oppressive and culturally competent practice.
- Understanding of and adherence to Good Shepherds Mission Vision and Values of Responsibility Availability Adaptability Hospitality Quality and Dignity.
