As a Sr. Electronics Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge medical devices with a strong emphasis on advanced medical electronic systems. Responsible for the electronics architecture design and testing of the Falcon product.

You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market making a tangible difference in peoples lives worldwide.
Your profile

Main Responsibilities:

  • Development of medical device electronic circuits that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system inclosecollaboration with mechanical and software engineering teams.
  • Architect technicalconcepts and assess its technical feasibility.
  • Generate intellectual property.
  • Translatesystem requirementsand user needsintoelectronic subsystem andinterfacerequirements.
  • Perform functional analysis and create system designs that meet the requirements.
  • Develop medical devices according to applicable standards.
  • Manage external partners in the outsourced design assemblyverificationand validationof electronic systems that are part of the implantable neurostimulation system.
  • Support the integration and process development related toelectronicsintegration into the neurostimulation system.
  • Define test strategies to verify the electronic systems against the product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead the development of test systems for verification andmanufacturing tests.
  • Apply risk management and perform design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) on designs.
  • Initiate and lead design reviews technical reviews and milestone reviews.
  • Lead andparticipatein system integration verification and validation.
  • Understand and apply DFR/DFM/DFT (Design for Reliability Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test) including concept engineering modelling analysis sensitivity and statistical analysis.

Qualifications and Soft skills:

  • BSc or MSc in ElectronicsEngineering
  • Atleast6years of work experience in a relevant medical device developmentenvironment
  • Experienced inelectronicsand PCB design according to IPC standards
  • Experienced in the full development cycle of a medical device including design manufacturing verification and validation.
  • A system-thinking attitudeidentifyareas of potential improvement and develop plans to address these; Team oriented a sparring partner to colleagues in other disciplines.
  • Experienced with electronic simulation and design methodologies and tools (e.g. Spice Altiumetc.).
  • Solid understanding of Medical Risk Analysis and FMEA.
  • Experienced inmanaging developmentoutsourced tosubcontractorsfor design manufacturing and integration.
  • Experienced in Verification test designand executionincluding statistical analysis.
  • Solid understanding of medical device development standards and experience in applying these standards (IEC-60601-1 IEC-60601-2)inmedical deviceelectronics designand verification.
  • Fluency in English(English is company language). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in electronics design for active medical implantable devices according to ISO 14708.
  • Familiar with design and verification according to the standards for active implantable medical devices.
  • Experience in design and testing for MRI compatibility.
  • Experience in wireless communication and wireless charging.
  • Familiar withmedicaldevice design from mechanical and software perspective.
  • Experience in neuroscience with a strong interest in gaining a further understanding of this field.
