Job Summary

Starlite Server Assistant / Busser/ Barback
The busser contributes to a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables restocking plates or (at times) serving food.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares dining room for guests by setting decorations service plates and utensils.
- Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean replacing damaged or soiled pages and cleaning chalkboards.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed refilling water glasses and being attentive to additional needs. Closes the restaurant by cleaning chairs and tables.
- Supports servers and bartenders by performing necessary work duties.
- Responsible for guest maintenance by clearing plates watering tables and resetting tables
- Remove trash polish glassware and restock supplies
- Run drinks to tables as needed
Required Skills/Responsibilities:
- 1-2 years prior room service experience in upper-upscale hotel.
- Previous Customer Service required.
- Some wine and fine food knowledge helpful.
- Food Handling and Alcohol Service Certifications required.
- Read write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- 2-3 years restaurant experience preferred.
- Luxury/Upper-upscale hotel experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the essential functions of the job the employee is regularly required to bend push squat pull kneel crawl stand walk talk or hear.
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- May be required to work overtime nights weekends and holidays.
- Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs occasionally and 25lbs regularly
