Job Summary
As a Host / Hostess you will be the first point of contact for our guests responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. You will manage guest reservations seating arrangements and ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills a friendly demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Reception:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist guests with reservations provide accurate wait times and manage the seating process efficiently.
Seating Management:
- Coordinate seating arrangements based on guest preferences restaurant capacity and reservation schedules.
- Ensure guests are seated promptly and that tables are prepared and ready for their arrival.
Reservation Handling:
- Manage and update the reservation system including phone online and walk-in bookings.
- Handle special requests such as seating preferences and dietary restrictions ensuring all guest needs are met.
Customer Service:
- Provide information about the restaurant menu options and special promotions to guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
Operational Support:
- Assist with daily operational tasks including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Guest Experience Enhancement:
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and relay any relevant information to management.
- Monitor guest flow and adjust seating plans as needed to optimize the dining experience.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills are an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
