Job Summary
An ambitious Kingston primary is seeking a warm creative Year 1 Teacher to lead a busy and joyful Year 1 class from January 2026. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to planning meetings before January 2026 will attend a thorough induction in January 2026 and will be in classroom post from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher. With a focus on early reading systematic phonics and practical mathematics the Year 1 Teacher will secure strong foundations for the children in their care.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 1 Teacher will: deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 1 Teacher; plan sequenced writing and mathematics lessons as the Year 1 Teacher; run timely interventions and track progress as the Year 1 Teacher; communicate with parents and lead transition work as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Year 1 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent) secure KS1 practice and confident phonics delivery. The Year 1 Teacher should be reflective organised and able to build strong relationships with families. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026 induction in January 2026 and a start in post from January 2026 is essential for the Year 1 Teacher.
