Senior UI/UX design with Figma design systems and user research expertise

POSITION: Contract: 01 January 2026 31 December 2027

EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years overall UI/UX design experience 3-5 years on custom web or app solutions

COMMENCEMENT: 01 January 2026

LOCATION: Hybrid: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

TEAM: Sales Offer and Contracting (SOCo)

SOCO offers one intuitive omnichannel vehicle sales & contract validation process journey integrated into a standardized Group application landscape so that the customer can have one flexible & safe & cost efficient vehicle purchasing experience: with all Group brands in all markets and for all sales models.

Qualifications / Experience

Minimum mandatory qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Design (e.g. interaction graphic visual communication product etc.) or Diploma in UI / UX Design
• 5-10 years overall UI / UX design experience of which 3-5 must be on custom web or app solutions

Advantageous experience:

• Web and digital project experience advantageous
• Proven track record of successful design projects delivered
• Agile working experience

Essential Skills Requirements

Core Design Skills:

• UX research / data analysis
• UI Design
• UX testing
• Design System creation / updates
• Wire framing / user flow creation
• Prototyping

Tools & Collaboration:

• Experience in Figma
• Experience in JIRA and Confluence

Supervision: Completely independent worker that will only escalate tasks that are complex and outside of their span of control. May need to lead individual members of a team of Entry and Advanced level experts

Problem solving: Improve a product or a system that already exists by making conceptual changes and enhancements. Can manage the solution for complex problems that may require simple solutions but affect multiple systems

Communication: Influence (Effect change without direct exercise of command where persuasion is required and reaching buy-in might be difficult). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Willingness to engage with international customers and navigate potential language barriers

Delivery: Specify new products processes standards based on organization strategy or set short- to mid-term operational plans. The requests are often unclear and will need substantial investigation to ensure that the specifics are well understood by all parties. Employee may be expected to provide guidance to lower-level employees

Knowledge: Functional expert - Mastery of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice

• Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) on technical and non-technical level

• Content / Strategy: Customer Analysis Competitor Analysis Product strategy
• Prototyping and wire framing testing and iteration
• Design analytics and Execution: Coordination with developers Coordination with designers analysis and iteration tracking goals. Simplifying requirements win functional designs
• Assisting with the business requirements
• Document requirements in appropriate format depending on methodology followed
• Assist with identification and management of risks

Role Requirements

Design & Research:

• Take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy to use
• Throughout the design process -- from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mock-ups and prototypes
• Gather data from our analytics and UX research to inform and drive the decisions
• Create conceptual and creative solutions for web and mobile projects utilizing the branding and the design standards that meet business and user requirements
• Plan design and execute user testing

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with stakeholders and team members
• Collaborate closely with business analysts developers / designers and stake holders to create industry-leading products that delivery value for the customer
• Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs
• Review and present proposed system solution to User Organisation

Mentorship & Flexibility:

• Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
• Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
