Job Summary

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Minimum Qualifications: Required Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course) required American Heart Association ACLS required Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing One year labor and delivery RN experience or PACU experience Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements Bozeman Health policy and other registry requirements. Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient s health or the situation (Assessment) Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis) Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care) Implements the identified plan of care Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice Evaluates one s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines relevant statutes rules and regulations Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues Collaborates with patient family and others in the conduct of nursing practice Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice Integrates research findings into practice Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession Knowledge Skills and Abilities Demonstrates sound judgement patience and maintains a professional demeanor at all times Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment Creativity problem analysis and decision making Ability to work varied shifts Schedule Requirements This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational patient or employee needs. Additional Information Must be willing to float to MB to take couplets Transition Nurse Circulate/PACU Triage Must be willing to float to other units as safety companion or nurse aide
