Job Summary
Our Cardiac Telemetry unit provides specialized care for patients recovering from open heart surgeries heart catheterization with stent placement ablations pacemaker/AICD placement and other cardiovascular procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) will coordinate and deliver patient care while assuming accountability and responsibility for nursing interventions ensuring care aligns with hospital policies state regulations and professional nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide patient care under the direction of the Director Manager or Nurse Manager.
- Deliver nursing care according to hospital policies state Nursing Practice Acts ANA Standards of Practice and unit standards.
- Monitor and assess cardiac patients recognizing changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care procedures and post-discharge instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year acute care Cardiac Care RN experience or similar experience.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Missouri RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal organizational and leadership skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
